Playable Classes for Species Revealed

In their May issue PC Gamer UK revealed a list of species and classes they can play. Hopefully you won’t be disappointed if your favorite race can’t play a particular class.

Here’s a full breakdown of the available race/class combos:

  • Humans: Can play every class.
  • Zabraks: Can Play every class.
  • Miraluka: Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular
  • Pureblood: Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor
  • Chiss: Imperial Agent, Bounty Hunter
  • Rattataki: Imperial Agent, Bounty Hunter, Sith Inquisitor
  • Mirialan: Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular
  • Twi’lek: Sith Inquisitor, Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Smuggler
  • Cyborg: Trooper, Smuggler, Imperial Agent, Sith Warrior, Bounty Hunter

Note about racial traits:

  • Racial traits are subject to change!
  • Social skills are just for entertainment and don’t provide any benefit: their point is to provide some sort of interaction with NPCs or other players.
  • BioWare mentioned they don’t want to force players into picking a particular race by providing bonuses, so those listed below may eventually be removed and not make it into the game on release

  • Racial Bonuses: Passive: 3% Bonus to Presence / Social: Rallies nearby allies


  • Planet: Iridonia

  • Racial Bonuses: Passive: Increase healing given / taken by 1% / Social: Inspire Loyalty in nearby Allies


  • Planet: Alpherides
  • Allegiance: Galactic Republic
  • Racial Bonuses: Passive: +1 Stealth Detection / Social : Perceive alignment of the target via the force

Sith Pureblood

  • Planet: Korriban
  • Allegiance: Sith Empire
  • Racial Traits: Passive: 1% force dmg/healing / Social: Punish – Punish your companion for his or continued failures.


  • Planet: Csilla
  • Allegiance: Sith Empire
  • Racial Bonuses: Passive: +1 stealth/stealth detection / Social: Salute – Prompts nearby allies to stand at attention.


  • Planet: Rattatak
  • Allegiance: Sith Empire
  • Racial Bonuses: Passive: 2% Crit Damage / Social: Shadowbox – Perform a series of mock blows, blocks and counters, warming up for the fight to come.


  • Planet: Mirial
  • Allegiance: Galactic Republic
  • Racial Traits: Passive: Increase precision of Force and Tech powers by 1% / Social: Focusing Ritual – Undergo a focusing ritual to rest and recuperate spirit.


  • Planet: Ryloth

  • Racial Bonuses: Passive: 5 Minute Reduction on Rapid Travel / Social: Parlor dance – Perform an unique cultural dance.
